Empty Fruit – Our Failure to Care for our Own

Nothing should be more important to a government than ensuring the health and well-being of its people. Watching conservatives in Washington pitch another ridiculous ‘healthcare’ plan for the third time is nauseating.

Graham-Cassidy (new name) allows insurers to NOT cover:
-Newborn care
-Mental health services
-Prescription drugs
-Birth control

And this list is just for starters. It is cruel to hold out a promise (the fruit) of better, more affordable healthcare to the American public and then bitterly disappoint them when they find out the truth; more empty, self-serving policies, promises, and legislation from the right.

Bernie Sanders is on the right track with Medicare For All and I hope democrats get on board.

According to Bernie:

Other industrialized nations are making the morally principled and financially responsible decision to provide universal health care to all of their people—and they do so while saving money by keeping people healthier. Those who say this goal is unachievable are selling the American people short.
